Gathr will then work to confirm the request and then a page for your screening request becomes live on the gathr. Your credit card will only be charged once your screening has met the minimum number of reservations and has been tipped. Many theaters and dates will be confirmed within a couple days. However, others take a little more effort to lock down. Depending on the theater, this can take up to three weeks. In some instances we need to check with multiple theaters to confirm availability for the date you have requested.

All screenings are subject to venue or theater availability. The theater that you list as your first choice might have an event already scheduled for the date you have selected.

Providing us with multiple venue and date options gives you a better chance of getting your screening confirmed earlier. Before your screening is confirmed, the default tipping point will be reservations. This may update based on your screening location. On average, a weeknight screening will require reservations to tip, and a weekend screening may need a few more. We default the countdown clock to 14 days before your screening, and this will change once the theater is confirmed.

So, the earlier you set up your screening, the more time you will have to tip it! You will receive an email from Gathr letting you know that your screening has tipped. Ticket pricing varies and will be included in the email you receive confirming your screening request. Usually the theater box office will collect tickets, but in some cases, the theater may ask the captain to help out. We recommend reaching out to your theater manager to discuss logistical details.
