Police Officer Timothy Pappas responded to a robbery call at the intersection of Montgomery and Sampson on November 8, During a struggle with Jeffrey Irons, an officer on scene was disarmed, and Irons fired three times at Pappas striking him in the forehead. A fellow officer fired one fatal shot ending the suspect's aggression. After a full recovery, officer Pappas continued his career with the Cincinnati Police Department.
Williams struck the driver window with his boom box and fired several shots at Conway, who was still inside the cruiser. Four bullets struck Conway in the lower torso. Williams attempted to steal the cruiser, pushing the PO aside. Despite her severe injuries, Conway was able to fire one fatal shot. Officer Conway resigned from her position with the Cincinnati Police Department. After being cornered in the bathroom, Henderson disarmed a nearby officer.
Henderson then turned his weapon on Zieverink, shooting him in the right knee. Another SWAT member returned fire wounding and later arresting the suspect. Following a two-year recovery, Zieverink returned to continue his career with the Cincinnati Police Department. Upon exiting the vehicle, Eric Shields brandished a gun and began firing. PO Gladden grabbed Shields from behind. Shields reached over his shoulder and fired at Gladden rupturing his eardrum and striking him below his left shoulder blade.
Both tripped over a curb, allowing Shields to retreat, but only to be apprehended by fellow officers. After a full recovery, Gladden continued his career with the Cincinnati Police Department.
After the suspect, Eric Shields, was asked to exit the vehicle, he reached for a gun inside his car, and began shooting, striking Neville in the hand. The suspect fled on foot and was later apprehended by fellow officers. Police Specialists Robert Hennekes was jogging while off-duty when he noticed the suspect and decided to follow him.
While Police Specialists Hennekes was following Charles Jones, the suspect entered a vehicle and attempted to hide. Specialists Hennekes noticed Jones hiding in the vehicle and approached, only to be shot in the hand and chest. Specialists Hennekes gives a description to police and the suspect was apprehended a short time later by District Five officers.
The suspect, Melvin Moreland, who had just fatally shot PO Clifford George, was found hiding in the bushes behind the residence. Upon arrival, Moreland pointed the handgun towards Norton and his K9 partner Bandit. He fired one shot killing Bandit and striking Norton in the leg.
Another officer was able to return fire, fatally wounding Moreland. After a full recovery, officer Norton continued his career with the Cincinnati Police Department. Officer Johnson, while sitting in his vehicle was approached by Eric Martin at approximately hours.
