How is rv college of engineering

Average package is good and mainly college has it's name because of placements and that matters in India currently. Campus is not too big, nearly 54 acres that hits the most. Also cultural fest is held once in two years but it should be held every year. It is safe. You'll receive sufficient exposure and opportunities here. Facilities are pretty good but wifi is a little slow and the projectors for smart boards are not always working.

But overall lab facilities, library and sport centres are pretty good and have decent equipment and are well maintained. The quality of teaching really just varies from teacher to teacher. Few teachers are genuinely good and are so passionate about the subject they're teaching and make the class interesting but few teachers fail to deliver the knowledge to students in an effective way.

The curriculum is updated I think and contains all recent developments but sometimes more focus is given on theoretical learning than practical application.

The placement in my college has been pretty good in the past few years. I'm still a junior and haven't had my placements yet so I'm not sure how smoothly the placement process goes.

Overall it has been an OK experience. Posted on 18 May' 20 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous. Facilities are reasonable. Mess can be improved. Rooms for first years are okay, however wifi is not appreciable.

Our branch classrooms could also be improved. Although I heard renovation is taking place. I've taken a course of electronics and communication. So far I'm in first year, so I'm not familiar with the actual curriculum for the course. I heard it's a bit hectic when compared to other courses offered by the college. But I think it's worth it. Placements is probably the one thing RVCE is famous for. I think the college does offer placement training which is worth it and the placement community in RVCE is better than other colleges and so are the placement offers.

So value for money is one department which the college could certainly spend sone resources on.. Campus Life is pretty decent. Two grounds, tennis courts and two sports complexes. Although one sports complex is technically a basketball court. And the other is also technically a badminton court. The Infrastructure of our clg is good ,its not very big though. The wifi facility is there in the entire campus The wifi speed will be good infront of Electrical Department.

The teaching of the electrical and electronic dept teachers is awesome but a lot of spoon feeding. ECE dept will get the highest no of placements , the highest package so far is 40 laks per annum, the avg salary package is around 8 to 9 lacks per annum.

As i am from other state i had to pay 2 lakhs per annum for the tution fee. Our RV clg is highly reputated clg in Bangalore So the course fee is high , Im really not sure whether im getting my money's worth. The only thing I like about our clg is the innovative clubs in it , There are around 18 clubs that u can join. Even though the infrasturce , academics ,placements are ok, i wont recommend this clg coz management is money minded they will find ways to collect fines ,There are lot of issues and pbs we faced just in this one year.

One year experience in RV college. Tanmay Sinha. Posted on 18 May' 20 by Tanmay Sinha. Infrastructure is so good. Well equipped machines and technology oriented. Classrooms, Laboratories, Libraries have all the facilities as per the requirement. Smart boards are well-maintained in the college.

Wifi is available in classrooms and hostels both with proper internet speed. Living spaces are clean and food is hygienic but there are some problem with north-indian people as the food they provide doesn't suit those people properly. Academics of this institution is too good. Quality of teaching is too good in this college.

Curriculum is properly updated and they improvise the curriculum based on the current technology. Yes, they include all the recent developments in the field. This study can make anyone job-ready without any doubt.

Only the thing is they take 3 internals in a semester. HOD or Dean send emails regarding some internship which is damn interesting. Quality of placement depends on one's study. Highest package was 32 lac per annum in my branch. One student from CSE department got placement with annual package of 55 lac per annum. Average salary offered was lac per annum. Placement process is not so difficult but not so easy also. Before placement, they try to shape student properly. Course cost per year is 2,01, as tuition fees and 38, is development fund.

Overall, it costs around 3,50, for a year. Yes, I feel I am getting my money's worth as I am getting proper education from one of the good colleges and I am technologically updating day by day. Campus life is good.

Students are engaged in various activities. We have lots of clubs in our college and we actively participate in all those. We have some club events also at the end of semester which is damn interesting. Location is quite good. It is safe and can handle all types of emergencies.

Overall college experience is good. Posted on 13 May' 20 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous. All classrooms have projectors to ease the teaching and laboratory are well equipped. Wi-fi is all over the campus, you can get high speed wi-fi and whole campus is well maintained, and I would like add it's litter free. For the first year I fell syllabus is outdated, TBH it's better then VTU syllabus but it still need to be modified and i feel introducing 2nd year subject to first year is a good idea.

Teaching faculties are good. Placement is outstanding, handful of students comes to RV for placements only. Here companies comes to hire you for internship also and average placement packages here will be always higher from rest of the college's in Bangalore.

But coming to college through KCET is affordable. College conducts college day for every 2 years, when you join this college be prepared for less entertainment. My experience in RV. Posted on 08 May' 20 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous.

We have all the necessary facilities. Yes, they are maintained well but for some situations. Yes, the living spaces are pretty clean but sometimes short of water and food is all good and hygienic.

I am pursuing BTech in Electronics and Instrumentation. Yes, the theoretical teaching is good but practical teaching needs tl be improved. The curriculum is updated and I think so.. The average package is 7 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was 54 lakhs.

Since I am first year student, I haven't experienced the placement. It costs me 60 thousands per year. Yes, what I am getting in college is worth but needs to be improved when it comes to practical way of teaching and better equipment for the labs.

The teaching and material we get is money's worth. The college campus is little small but it seems big when compared to others in Banglore. And it is peaceful. We have sports complexes where most of them engage in several games playing and libraries for studies and many tech and non tech clubs. The campus is pretty safe and there will be a check in the entrance and is safe. Yes, emergencies can be handles since we have a medical centre inside the campus and ambulance for bigger issues.

People in the campus are cool and friendly. My experience of one year here went good and I am happy and proud to study here. The best placements and campus life. Posted on 04 May' 20 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous. The college has a great infrastructure which supports all kinds of activities both technical and non-technical.

Its a huge campus, with well equipped laboratories. The campus is clean and beautiful, full of greenery. The library is spacious with a number of books also supporting e-Resources for learning. The campus also has a gym, tennis court, cricket and football ground and a basketball court. The boys hostel is in the campus while the girls hostel which is outside, would soon be shifted in. I am currently pursuing ECE here.

The college has well qualified and supportive teaching staff. The curriculum is well updated as per the industry requirement and involves a wide exposure to all new technologies. The college has best placements compared to any other college in the state.

The CS and ECE students bag the best offers among other branches also their placement percentage is comparatively higher. The highest package previous year was 52 lack given to a CS student and the average package is 7 lack. The college is a bit expensive. The hostel and mess fees is very high. The overall cost per year comes to be more than 2 lack. The hostels are not worth the fees. The campus is very spacious and huge, its filled with greenery. The food court and the coffee shop are the popular spots where the students hangout with their friends.

The campus life is fun filled. The campus is situated on the 8th mile, Mysore Road. The college fest named '8th mile' is the most awaited event for the students. Smiti Shrma. Posted on 27 Mar' 20 by Smiti Shrma. RV College of Engineering RVCE has various facilities and infrastructure provided to the students, faculty and the staff on the college.

Facilities like a food court, transport, health centre, sport and gymnasium, reprographic services, rainwater harvesting phases, seminar halls, hostel, and library are provided by the RVCE. I am pursing mt be in ece i love etronic devices so i took admission in ece. Teachers are not highly qualified, but they are good. Teaching quality is not the top, but it is better if we read after every class or revise.

The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready, but it is not sufficient for an engineering college. Very less percentage of the students are placed from our college. Top roles offered to the students are mostly based on research. The top recruiting companies come. I have chosen this course because I wanted to study civil engineering course.

I want to design structures. The best thing about our course is that there are many government job opportunities. This is relatively easy from other courses. Many things which we study are not in present use, so the college should update the syllabus. Our main college fest named 8 Mile, is organised at our college for 3 days. Posted on 22 Dec' 17 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous. RVCE is ranked no. Related to the faculty and research,it is growing year by year.

The college campus provides a lot of extracurricular activities in the form of Clubs, debate societies etc.. In a Summary, the college is excellent for study an engineering course for a student interested and dedicated in this field.

Does not deserve to be on top Posted on 27 Sep' 17 by Anonymous This user choose to post privately in case a user is anonymous. If you have a good rank in cet and think of joining this college? Think about it again. Unless you still want to feel you are still at school. And the teaching faculty? Expect a few all are below average. Attdendence is a huge issue over here even if you score good they will put you through fasttrack if your attendence is low.

You are restricted of wearing clothes no tshirts no ripped jeans no sleeveless no leggings. Placements are good only for cs is ec and mech.

Civil people? Not even one compnay had come last year. So basically a big no for this college Infrastructure. RV College:Road to Victory.

Posted on 25 May' 17 by Sanjith. This review deserves all my honesty and I shall be honest till it becomes controversial. I wouldn't be able to say that the two years I have spent at the RV college of engineering have been the best two years I have spent in my life.

All through my school years I was always the popular kid, I was good at studies, sports, musically inclined. I was smart enough to outsmart the authorities while engaging in acts of mischief and misconduct but still won the admiration of teachers and students. The fact that I am stating this in my review can clearly indicate how narcissistic I became and how much of it has still stayed with me. That's why the two years at RV College were never the best two years of my life but they were the most important two years that I have ever lived, the two years that had the most impact on my life.

I expected my college life to be the same as my life has always been but it never was, those two years taught me that I was a nobody, that it was always better to be a fish in the ocean than a piranha in the river. The greatest experience my college has given me and to which I am indebted to is humility.

It taught me the greatest life lesson of all, to never be discouraged or overconfident by competition. One may think, it is all too cheesy and that can be found in any college but they forget only the brightest and the fortunate ones end up in college. If one argued that every college was the same and opened the same opportunities then what is all the fuss about the the IITs, RV college is a shorter peak but it is the tallest mountain in our region nonetheless.

You can log on to the RV college website or check their Wikipedia page and you will see how big their campus is , how many basketball courts and tennis courts they have but that is not why I am writing this review. I am going to tell you about what actually happens at those sports facilities. We have one of the most amazing football and basketball teams and well the country knows of a famous cricketer who is our alumni so you cant begin to imagine how great our cricket team is.

Our tennis courts are always well maintained and you are free to use them any time. You think of an idea and our college will ready to fund you on your club endeavour. We have technical clubs ranging from solar car teams to racing cars and even satellite teams.

Our college fest needs no introduction, attending it is the most alive experience you can have. It does not matter what type of music you prefer, I love the classic rock and metal tunes, the fest spread over three days will ensure you suffer the only overdose you deserve, a musical overdose. If the fest is that big we must have cultural clubs that exciting to support it, there are dance clubs, debate clubs, quiz clubs, theater clubs, music clubs to name a few.

If you are one of the few who got pushed into engineering but wanted to pursue something else, RV is the right destination even if it is the wrong road taken. The college atmosphere is very relaxing and the students are too friendly always ready to lend a hand to one of our own. So come be a part of the RV family, a place where the college believes in delivering superior quality with a substantial discount from the fees to the cafeteria food.

Robert Frost said " Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. One of the best private colleges.
